Fate and college brought natural-born storytellers, Adrienne Beckham and Katarina Kapetanakis, together in Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love. Through laughs and (admittedly) questionable decisions, the two forged a lifetime bond through a mutual love of music and storytelling. As the two embarked on the journey that is life, they kept their bond strong by weaving fantastical tales soundtracked by the songs they love, crafting worlds of wonder… And this time, they're bringing you along for the ride.

And a main character named Paul, but not for the reason you think! It’s time to saddle up for one last ride… This time on Rhapsody in Reverie, Adrienne and Katarina conclude the epic four-episode saga of Willow and Judah. The clock is ticking as time runs out for our beloved cowboy exorcist, whose past is finally on the verge of catching up with him. Will he be able to reach Willow in time to save her from the fires of her anger before she burns out completely? Or will her rage lead her on a path to revenge that neither of them will come back from? Inspired this time by Avi Kaplan’s song “Full Moon,” our intrepid podcasters push their stories to new heights, and try to answer the question… How do you save a poltergeist?

Updates, Announcements, and a Sneak Peak At Our Upcoming Episode

Friday Aug 13, 2021
Hey there listeners! It’s your friendly neighborhood co-host, Adrienne, here with a couple updates on the show. You may have noticed it has been awhile since our last episode. And before I continue, don’t fret, more episodes are coming, but we did want to let you know what’s been going on.
Unfortunately, the reason for our absence was not a happy one. In April, my brother passed away unexpectedly and I had to take a break as I was not in any shape to continue making episodes. As difficult as this is to share with you all, I knew I had to. Over the years, Rhapsody in Reverie has become a rather intimate journey of both creative and personal growth that Katarina and I are honored to share with you. Music has always been a therapeutic space, and I’ve often thought that writing feels a bit like bleeding my heart out onto a page in black ink. These days, my heart is heavy and simply put, I know that whether I want it to or not, losing my brother is going to come up as I write for the show. I owe it to him, myself, Katarina, and you all to not shy away from it.
So, now that you know where we’ve been, let’s talk about where we’re going. The good news is that we have a new episode coming to you next week! It is the thrilling conclusion to our cowboy exorcist fever dream that we’ve been exploring in our last 3 episodes. So go back and catch up on those episodes this week and get ready for one last ride with Willow and Judah. After that, we’ll be releasing some shorter fun episodes this August and September while we are hard at work on more stories for the fall season of Rhapsody In Reverie. We’ll be back October 6th with more great songs and exciting characters to keep you company throughout the holiday season.
As always, from Katia and I, we want to say thank you for listening and for sticking with us. It means so much - now more than ever before - to have you out there hanging out with us, and we hope you reach out on our socials and enjoy what we’ve got in store. Thank you and listen to the announcement for a short preview of our next episode to get you excited for what’s coming. This is Adrienne, signing off for now and I’ll see you next week!

Saddle up, cowboys! It’s time to continue the story of Judah, the exorcist cowboy, and his terrible life choices. Adrienne and Katarina draw inspiration from another T-Swift hit, “Ivy,” and ask the question… ”what about the wife?” Will our storytellers manage to add another meaningful layer to their trilogy? Will Judah, Willow, and Ivy finally stop living in their heads rent-free? Will a misheard lyric spell ‘doom’ for this installment? All of these questions and more will be answered on this episode of Rhapsody in Reverie!

Last week, Adrienne and Katarina brought you characters so nice they had to write them twice! Serendipitously inspired by “Willow,” the lead single from Taylor Swift’s surprise album Evermore, Adrienne and Katarina are riding back out into the wild west and back in time for a prequel to the thrilling adventure of our lonely cowboy, Judah, and his vengeful poltergeist from the Cat Clyde “I Don’t Belong Here” episode. Who was this haunting spirit? How did they die? What did Judah do to earn their wrath? All will be revealed in two epic short stories filled with love, desire, and betrayal. Grab your cowboy hats and wreck your plans, dear listeners, as Adrienne and Katarina discuss Taylor Swift’s enchanting hit and take you on another wild ride.

Adrienne and Katarina ride back into the podcast in their triumphant return from their holiday break! This week, they talk about Cat Clyde’s dark, indie hit, “I Don’t Belong Here,” and craft a set of stories you wouldn’t believe. Moved by the song’s feelings of self-imposed isolation and nomadic existence, Adrienne and Katarina found inspiration in an unlikely place for their tales: westerns. From a vengeful poltergeist who just wants to watch the world burn around her, to an exorcist cowboy trying to set things right, our stories this week are ones you’ll have to listen to in order to believe. Saddle up, listeners, you’re in for a wild ride.

Adrienne and Katarina are about to unleash the gift of reckoning upon you all this week. Inspired by The Maine’s holiday classic “Ho Ho Hopefully,” our dynamic duo has crafted two very wholesome holiday romances that rival the sappy nature of the Hallmark Channel. Then grab your hot cocoa, cozy up with a warm blanket, and let the fireplace roar: it’s time for the Christmas episode!
